Debt is not just a financial issue; it is a moral issue that affects human dignity and global justice. Around the world, millions of people are trapped in cycles of debt that limit access to basic needs such as healthcare, education and sustainable livelihoods. This event aims to raise awareness and bring together faith-based and secular organisations to advocate for meaningful change.
As we enter a season of reflection and renewal, we invite you to join us for a day of awareness, action and solidarity. This gathering will be an opportunity to explore the impact of debt injustice, mobilise support for the Turn Debt into Hope Campaign and highlight the crucial role of international institutions in addressing unjust and unsustainable debt.
During the event we will officalise our support to a global petition and by signing it you will be joining millions of families around the world in their struggle for dignity, opportunity and hope. This carries a unified message, while allowing for adaptation to regional, national and local realities. It calls on public, private and multilateral donors and political leaders to act with courage and compassion.
