You are invited to this ELSiA event on #LaudateDeum and the EU #greentransition that will take place on December 7th in square de Meeus 19, 1050 in Brussels and online starting at 6pm.
This event follows the publication of Laudate Deum, Pope Francis’ recently published apostolic exhortation, as addendum to #LaudatoSi’ addressing specifically the climate crisis. Can European policy makers be as inspired as we are by this text and take bold initiatives to protect Creation?
This event is an opportunity to delve deep into this exhortation, rediscover Laudato Si’ and exchange ideas with our esteemed panelists on, among other issues, how to create synergies between faith based NGOs and church institutions and European politics in fighting climate change and protect our Common Home.
The program includes an introduction by Xavier De Bénazé SJ, Delegate “Laudato Si’” of the Jesuit French-Speaking Province, followed by an exchange between Josianne Gauthier, Secretary General of CIDSE, and MEP Marie Toussaint, Vice President of the Greens/EFA Group.
Participants will be able to dialogue with the speakers in a Q&A session, followed by a small reception for those onsite.
